Renae Callihan – Group Fitness Instructor

What is your position (s) at Butler Health & Fitness? I am a fitness instructor.  I teach step, washboard abs, Zumba, Zumba Toning, pilates.  I can teach just about everything from cycling to yoga and kickboxing too!

What do you like most about working at Butler Health & Fitness?  I love the people.  We have the nicest, hard working, motivational patrons that are a constant inspiration to why I teach fitness classes.

What do you think stands out to customers when they describe their overall Butler Health & Fitness experience?  I think they would definitely talk about the fitness classes and the variety we have to offer as well as the excellent instructors we have to teach those great classes!

What is your specialty and what makes your class unique and different from other fitness facilities?  I would have to say that Zumba is my specialty right now.  I would say I have an abnormal amount of energy which keeps my patrons coming back!!!

What is the best compliment you received regarding your training/class?  I have had people come in and tell me that my class is what has helped them lose weight and become in the best shape of their lives.  Thanking me for my energy to get them through.  I often get that my Zumba is unlike any other…very high intense and fun!

Do you have any tips or helpful hints?  Being physically fit is a lifestyle.  I wish the amount of people that come to the gym in January for New Years resolutions would stick to them and really truly find all the benefits of leading a healthy and active lifestyle.  Once you make a routine out of it, you won’t feel the same without it!!

What classes other than your own do you recommend at Butler Health & Fitness? Why?  Pilates is a great core and leg challenge that will be sure to burn you from head to toe!  Cycling is a great challenge and something different that could mix up your workout!

Do you have any hobbies outside of the gym?  I enjoy playing sports with my fellow colleagues before work at 6 am.  We play hockey, water polo, and cone ball.  They are all great workouts and a ton of fun! I really enjoy the friendly competition that I don’t get in a fitness class.

What websites blogs or books do you recommend for people interested in your specialty? www.zumba.com has a ton of great articles and success stories that are sure to pull your interest.

What additional social marketing tools do you use on a regular basis and please share how often you utilize them?  Just my big mouth! haha! and all the time!!
